| Call Josh if you need assistance with • Developing specific scenarios concerning the future of your church and community • Long range, formal strategic planning • Understanding the belief systems of other cultures and world religions • Leadership development, especially coaching and mentoring young leaders • Identifying Unreached People Groups in the Houston area • Interpreting the implications of your demographic/psychographic data Josh came to UBA specializing in ethnography—the study of ethno-linguistic people groups—and has been conducting ethnographic research in the greater Houston area for over five years. These days, Josh spends considerable time consulting with churches on a variety of matters including strategic planning, scenario development, and change management. Josh has been working with churches for over ten years, serving in staff positions ranging from Minister to Students to Associate Pastor and Interim Pastor. Josh has also been on staff as a teacher and coach at a local Christian High School and as a Volunteer Coordinator for a Houston-area crisis center. Josh is an active athlete and can often be found on the soccer or football field, volleyball court or golf course. Josh is a member of Baybrook Baptist Church (pastor, Joe Schwenk) and has served UBA since 2005, initially raising his own support and later as a full-time salaried staff consultant beginning in 2006.
